Hall Hire


Within the main building we have two large halls, both converted barns, available for hire:

The Chess Hall is a large airy room with a high beamed ceiling and a spacious feel, and is adjoined by the kitchen and the Library, a lounge style reading room which also benefits from excellent views of the river.

The Sanctuary Hall is an L-shaped Hall with long oak beams and an intimate feel. The Sanctuary Hall is adjoined by The Meadow Room, which can also be used as a break out room.



Hiring The Chess Hall
Rates below are for classes, training, therapy groups and workshops:

Weekday Rates	Chess Hall
Any 4 hours use (between hours 9am - 5pm)	£60
All day use (9am - 5pm)	£120
All day & evening (9am - 10pm)	£150
Hourly Rate (for community groups only)	£12

Private Functions & Parties in the Chess Hall:

N.b: The Chess Hall has a maximum capacity of 70 people, and any amplified music must be turned off at 11.00pm and the building fully vacated by 12am.
*The kitchen is shared therefore use of this area is subject to a first-come-first served basis if there is another goup using the other hall.

N.b: Sanctuary Hall is only available on weekends, and has a maximum capacity of 70 people. Any amplified music must be turned off at 11.00pm and the building fully vacated by 12am.

Kitchen Use

You are very welcome to use our sunny farmhouse kitchen for your catering requirements. Alternatively, we also have our own caterer who can cook for up to 100 people, please just ask for details and we will be happy to give you a quote.

Farm Grounds

Our beautiful grounds are also perfect for a summer get-together with work colleagues, friends or family. Perfect for barbeques, hog roasts, etc. Our events staff are available on request.


Please note that no fireworks are allowed in the grounds and no amplified music is allowed either in the grounds or in the Barn, due to the close proximity to our neighbours. Thank you for your understanding.
