Bed & Breakfast Accommodation
(Available to Subud guests and course / workshop participants only)


We are pleased to offer overnight accomodation for up to 16 people in delighful twin and double bedrooms with spectacular views overlooking the Chess River, available for short stays on request.

The Bed & Breakfast is priced at £25 per person per night in twin or double rooms, (or £20 per person if sharing a room together), which includes a self-service Continental-style breakfast. (Please inform us in advance of any dietary requirements).

Airports:


Heathrow - Although Heathrow is a mere 17 miles away, (drive South on the M25 and follow signs to Terminals 1-5), it can take between 25 minutes and 2 hours to get there – the traffic is notorious and difficult to predict, so always allow for at least an hour. Luton - Is just 30 minutes away, drive North on the M25, leave at Junction 21 for the M1 and follow signs to Luton Airport.


Gatwick - Follow the M25 South. Leave the M25 at Junction 7, then join the M23 motorway. Leave the M23 at Junction 9 and then follow signs to Gatwick North or South Terminals.

Alternatively there are regular trains from Watford Junction (a 10 minute taxi ride from Loudwater Farm) bound for Gatwick, Luton and Heathrow. For train timetables visit: www.nationalrail.co.uk

Airport Bus: If you are travelling by air, there is a useful bus service that goes from Heathrow Airport to Rickmansworth Station, approx once per hour – the No 724 coach (Green Line) – for more details visit: www.greenline.co.uk


Breakfast

Breakfast is self-service; please find bakery goods and cereals in the cupboard marked ‘Breakfast’. Butter, milk, eggs, marmalades and jam are in the fridge, please help yourself. We kindly ask that you leave the kitchen as you found it – hopefully tidy!


Internet Access

There is free wireless broadband at the Farm – just type in the password which is chorleywood77 - alternatively there is a computer with free internet access located in the Dining Room.


Kitchen Use

Feel free to store food on the allocated shelves, please throw away any leftovers or donate it to the communal shelf.

Please refrain from leaving food exposed as it is an invitation to little furry friends.

To light the gas oven, follow the instructions located to the right of the oven.

The kitchen is fully furnished with utensils. The kitchen is shared so please make sure that all areas are clean and tidy and wash up immediately after use. All the kitchen appliances for your use are expected to be used with care. Any damage caused other than by general wear and tear will be your responsibility to pay for.


Laundry

Used bed linen and towels may be placed in the laundry bin at the top the stairs.


Maps

An A-Z road map of Great Britain is located in the top cupboard in the Library; please do not remove it, along with other maps and useful information on the local area.


Noise and General

Please have consideration that other people may be staying in the house with you:
a) Keep noise down and avoid noise before 8am & after 11pm.
b) Visitors are not allowed after 9pm.
c) Pets are allowed at the discretion of the general manager.
d) Candles are not allowed.


Shopping

The nearest town is Rickmansworth, which is a 20 minute walk away. There are also two supermarkets, Waitrose and Marks and Spencer – as well as a local butchers and greengrocers etc. Banks: there is a Barclays, HSBC and a Natwest on the main High Street.


Smoking

The whole house including your room is a no smoking area.

Tea & Coffee

A variety of teas and coffee can be found in the cupboard beneath the kettle (please donate in the little box near the kettle).

Trains

The nearest train station is Rickmansworth, which is on the London Underground Metropolitan Line. It is a 20 minute walk to Rickmansworth tube station. For National Rail, Watford Junction is a 15 minute drive away.


Walks

There is a pleasant 30 minute circular walk around the farm. Ask for details.

Finally...

We ask that you refrain from using both the main kitchen and Library on Tuesdays and Thursday evenings between 8.30pm and 10pm, and Mondays and Thursday mornings between 11am and 12pm. Also during these times we kindly ask that noise is kept to a minimum. Thank you.
